ABOUT US

We Are The Non-Profit!

Disha is dedicated to bridge the gap for those children who have little or no access to education. The objective of Disha is to provide better learning opportunities and environment for the underprivileged children. Our goal is to provide every school-aged child with a well-rounded education to prepare them for responsible, compassionate, and confident citizenship in the future.

Most families we support have little or no formal education, where education is not a priority, often leading to children dropping out.

The emphasis is on creating a lifelong love of learning through a continuous, joyful, and voluntary experience. This helps children unlock their potential and face the future with confidence.

TESTIMONIALS

What Our Volunteers Says About Us?

I volunteered to help in Hyderabad during my summer break and it was one of the most fulling experiences. Being able to educate parents and let them know the advantages of keeping their kids was my primary job and when the kids actually retuned it was the most satisfying experience.

Anish Chowdary

I volunteered to help for 4 weekends in local government schools. The team at Disha makes sure to keep their promises. It was educating for me too.

Yaseshwini Gatta

I have never taught before and the team encouraged me to do it to encourage kids at schools. It was emotional and inspiring when I could really contribute and make difference in the backward communities.

Hanmath Chollangi

A little time and a few words can go a long way in changing a child's life. Creating interest in a child to continue schooling happens when they are motivated from within. As they don't have examples of such people they can lookup to, it gets difficult for them. and i appreciate team at Disha addressing this by bringing them closer to educated graduates.
